EarthScope Chronicles Series

The SPREE Project (Superior Province Rifting Earthscope Experiment is using data from multiple seismometers placed along transects in Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Canada to study a failed rift system. PIs are Suzan van der Lee (Northwestern University, NSF EAR 0952345), Douglas Weins (Washington University, NSF EAR 0952154), and Justin Revenaugh (University of Minnesota-Twin Cities, NSF EAR 0952232).

The SPREE (Superior Province Rifting EarthScope Experiments) project studies the ancient geologic rifting events in the Superior Province - north and surrounding Lake Superior in the northeastern United States/southeastern Canada.
