Weaving the Tulip Festival Rag Rug

In this video I weave the second rag rug on the warp I wove "Field of Sunflowers"on. This is threaded on 8 shafts in a straight draw and woven in a broken twill draft. I used Brockens 12/6 Cotton Rug Warp for the warp and hem headers, 3/8" wide fabric strips for the hem allowance and 3/4" wide fabric strips for the main body of the rug. The body of the rug is made up of randomly chosen strips of fabric and the warp was set at 8 end per inch with a weaving width of 27". The finished rug, after hemming, measures 23 1/2" x 21".
