THA CREE-Champion Drum Styles at Little Shell 2021

Despite the impact of COVID-19, dancers, drummers, and spectators were able to safely come together for some of Indian Country’s best powwows. This year, the Little Shell powwow held at the Antelope society arbour in New Town, North Dakota featured some wicked specials including the 10, 000-dollar men’s fancy special. One of the best drum groups from the weekend, The Cree, was dealing out trick song after trick song to the men’s fancy dancers bucking people off left, right, and center. Although this isn’t a trick song, this intertribal from The Cree is second to none. Check out their deadly leads and let us know what you think in the comments.
