It is a 720 kilometers long coastline. It consists of the coastal districts of Maharashtra, Goa and Karnataka. It is said that, Parshuram shot his arrow in to the sea and commanded the Sea God to recede up to the point where his arrow landed. So konkan is called land of great Parshuram.
This rich land poses many plantations of spices and ayurvedic medicines.
There are more than 400 species of birds in this region, so bird lovers must visit konkan once in life. One can find beautiful beaches and lush green mountains.
