In the first final of Gothia Cup 2015, Efthymiades from Cyprus faced Swedish team Hammarby. A lot of goals were created in this game with three goals within the first ten minutes. It was Hammarby who took the lead by Caesar Knapp that scored with a long shot. Shortly after that, Alexandros Nathanael scored the equalizer for Efthymiades, and right after that they also did 2-1. In the end of the first half, Hammarby scored 2-2 by Markus Karlsson.

In the second half, Efthymiades took the lead immediately, but Hammarby tied the game in the next attack. After that, the game was rolling back and forth where both teams created several scoring chances. When fifteen minutes remained of the game, a Hammarby player got his second yellow card and the team had to play with one man down the rest of the game. They fought bravely in the heating sun. It was 3-3 for a long time and it seemed to end up with penalty shoot outs, but with only one minute left Hammarby scored 4-3 after a break away. Caesar Knapp played the ball to Jonas Rouhi that was alone with the keeper and shot the ball in the upper left corner in the net. Gold to IFF FF Hammarby in Gothia Cup.
– It feels good, I thought we could win the whole time even with one player down. It went a little harder but we did it, says Rouhi that scored the game winning goal in the final minute.

MVP went to Hammarby player Caesar Knapp.
