Most manufacturers say that when you take a home pregnancy test if you get two lines, one being the control and one being the pregnancy line, then you are indeed pregnant. Because you got two lines that means you got a positive result even if one was faint. There are many possible reasons why a woman could have vaginal bleeding early on in the pregnancy and you mentioned implantation spotting and that is a possible explanation. But that is a diagnosis of exclusion, meaning the doctor wants to look at all other possibilities first. If everything else checks out then they chalk it up to implantation spotting because that can happen. Because you were bleeding it would be best for you to call your OB provider and tell them that you got a positive pregnancy result but you are spotting. They can decide if further investigation is warranted. They'll probably want to bring you into the office and confirm the pregnancy and then talk to you more about the bleeding and spotting that you noticed.
