Chuck Thornton takes the viewer on a journey of preservation and perseverance as he chronicles the history of the house from its origins to his efforts of rehabilitation. Thornton Gardens, as it is now called, has a rich history of owners starting with Katherine Emery who commissioned Myron Hunt to build her a 11,700 sq ft home so that she could downsize. This historic property located in San Marino has been home to the Boswells, Crockers, Chandlers and now the Thorntons who have gifted it to the National Trust for Historic Preservation.
