India's Foreign Secretary Rushes to Dhaka Amid China threat | Vantage with Palki Sharma

India's foreign secretary travelled to Dhaka for a two-day trip, the first by an Indian official since Sheikh Hasina's re-election in January this year. The visit comes amid multiple moves by China, aimed at securing a strategic foothold in Dhaka. Last month, China and Bangladesh announced their first-ever joint military drill. New reports also say that Dhaka is seeking a $5 billion soft loan from Beijing to bolster their foreign exchange reserves.
