Supreme Court adjourns Gyanvapi mosque case for May 20 after it is informed that counsel for Hindu devotees is indisposed. Vishnu Shankar Jain, advocate of the Hindu side, told the SC that senior advocate Hari Shankar Jain was not well and requested it to hear the Gyanvapi Mosque issue tomorrow (Friday). Senior advocate Huzefa Ahmadi, appearing for the Muslim side, told the Court that there are multiple litigations across the country, there is urgency and it should be heard today itself. He said proceedings before the trial court are pending for today.The top court then asked the trial court in Varanasi not to proceed with the case till Friday, 20th May. It will resume the hearing the case on Friday, 20th May at 3 pm.
