IJN Repair Ship Akashi 明石 1/700 Aoshima

Akashi was the only repair ship completed for the Imperial Japanese Navy in WWII. During the Pacific War, Akashi operated from a Japanese Naval Base in Truk Atoll where she repaired various types of damaged warships. 30 March 1944, Akashi received multiple attacks from American aircrafts from Task Force 58 as she anchored on Palau Island. Eventually, she sank in shallow water with her bridge visible above the water.
