God has created countless number of creatures in the world. However, are all creatures able to communicate? Yes they do communicate. But do they communicate in the same way as humans do? Of course not. The reason is: the physical aspects of human teeth, larynx and so on are not shared by other creatures. So they are limited in their expressions with fixed reference. That is where we come to the point of discussing unique properties of human language… ‘unique’ in that ‘human language is distinctively tuned and oriented’ by the Almighty to make human speak and use language. George Yule, a famous linguist, describes six of those features or properties of language.
