Hilma will be released in UK cinemas on 28th October, 2022.
In early 2023, Hilma will also be available on Viaplay UK, Viaplay’s streaming service launching in the UK 1st November. Hilma is directed by Lasse Hallström, and stars Lena Olin, Lily Cole, Tom Wlaschiha.

Short Synopsis: This is a story about an unwavering search for the truth about humanity and the universe at a time when men made all the rules. Hilma explores the enigmatic life of Hilma af Klint (1862-1944), whose unconventional and highly spiritual art remained fairly unknown for decades. Today af Klint is recognized as one of the Western world’s first abstract artists, an achievement made even more impressive by the statis male-dominated artistic scene that surrounded her.
