Apostle Purge and Lady ‘Angel Leap For Joy’ after tragic loss

AUGUST 29, 2024: Amid tears, pain, and a shattered heart, gospel minister Apostle Donald Purge discovered a new calling in music. Known by his stage name, Apostle Purge, he never imagined a career in music, but he believes it came to him through divine intervention.
“The singing started after a devastating time in our lives when everything was turned upside down,” Apostle Purge shared. “After 25 years of marriage, we were finally expecting our first children—twins, a boy, and a girl. We were overjoyed, making plans and preparing for their arrival. But tragically, the babies were born prematurely at five and a half months, and we lost both of them. It shattered our hearts and our world.”
In the wake of this heartache, Apostle Purge found solace in music. He began whistling, humming, and singing, almost instinctively. “It started making sense,” he recalled. “When Angel, my wife, heard it, she said, ‘D, that sounds good.’ We began singing together, and she suggested we go to the studio.”
