Previous Dynamic Period using DAX in Power BI

Parallel Period is a function that helps you fetching the previous period of a Month, Quarter, or Year. However, if you have a dynamic range of date, and you want to find the previous period of that dynamic selection, then Parallel Period can’t give you the answer. As an example; if the user selected a date range from 1st of May 2008 to 25th of November 2008, the previous period should be calculated based on the number of days between these two dates which is 208 days, and based on that previous period will be from 5th of October 2007 to 30th of April 2008. The ability to do such calculation is useful for reports that the user wants to compare the value of the current period with whatever period it was before this.
