In this video, I explain the steps needed to import SolidWorks files to COMSOL and create additional domains that are not in the imported model. Here, the solid part of a cold plate is imported from SolidWorks, and I add the domain for water that runs inside it. I also show how to partition the domain to apply symmetry in simulation. The SolidWorks file was created by one of my students, Matthew Krumholtz, at SUNY New Paltz.
