Welcome back to another installment of Shimario's Rap Battles! Today we have a big battle between two goofy side villains, who secretly have much bigger plans beyond what the main villains of their respective games aim for. We have Dimentio, the larger than life jester who steals the show in Super Paper Mario, and Plague Knight, the small yet insanely mischievous alchemist on a quest for all of the Order of No Quarter's essences in Shovel Knight. dimentio is the main antagonist of super paper mario. skilled in duplication, teleportation, and invisibility, dimentio is initially one of the four main minions of count bleck (the central antagonist of the game), along with o'chunks, mimi, and nastasia. however, over the course of the game, dimentio eventually reveals himself to be the real villain, using his former master merely as a way to further his plans to obtain the chaos heart and use its power for his own agenda. dimentio initially appears to be a lighthearted villain, but also shows a psychopathic side. he is very mischievous, and gets most of his information by eavesdropping on count bleck and the other minions. he often speaks in a mocking or condescending manner and constantly smiles, only breaking his grin when hit in battle and upon defeat. dimentio, being a magician, is capable of many special abilities and powers. dimentio is able to flip between 2d and 3d and cross between worlds. dimentio has also created his own dimension, dimension d, which is said to empower anyone within it.

plague knight is one of the playable characters in shovel knight, he's one of the eight knights of the order of no quarter who serves the enchantress and is a master alchemist. his lair is the explodatorium. he is also the protagonist of shovel knight: plague of shadows, in which he seeks to craft the ultimate potion from the essence of the order's members. plague knight is a short person who wears a green plague doctor mask. plague knight has a somewhat reckless personality and notably treats several of his allies with contempt or indifference. with the exception of tinker knight, he treats all of the order of no quarter with disrespect, often gleefully attacking them and being entirely unapologetic at the battle royale. while he brushes off most criticism without second thought, specter knight is able to reduce him to stunned silence by commenting on his cowardice regarding his feelings for mona. he is insecure about his lack of strength and power, believing that he needs the ultimate potion to become powerful enough for mona to love him.
