In this video, we define and distinguish between tactics, calculation and dynamics. These terms are often used interchangeably, but in reality, they encompass distinct facets of chess mastery that should be honed simultaneously for a comprehensive chess skill set.

We see instructive examples for tactics, calculation and dynamics. We see how they refer to different skills, although always intertwined in actual games. Some authors use the umbrella term "Tactics" to refer to all those 3 terms.

In the end, we also analyse beautiful dynamical games of Garry Kasparov and Mikhail Tal. The best way of improving on the area of dynamics is to study such model games. You will see how the master sacrifices material to increase their piece activity and dynamical potential of their pieces.
