Why *that* scene will still happen & why there's only one timeline | FFVII Rebirth Theories

Spoiler Warning - Original FFVII & compilation, Remake Trilogy, FFX and Kingdom Hearts

I've got a few theories based on what the dev team has said in interviews, as well as scenes from Remake and trailers for Rebirth. First, that Aerith's fate won't change, and second, that there is only one timeline.

Of course, these are just theories and I don't know any more than you do. This just seem to be the most likely conclusions for me, based on currently available information. Square-Enix games often have stories which aren't exactly... straight forward, so it's probably very difficult to guess exactly what's going on before playing the game.

That being said Final Fantasy VII Rebirth launches in a couple of weeks, so we don't have long to wait!
