Historia ataku na Wyspę Węży stała się symbolem niezłomności ducha Ukraińców, inspirowana tymi wydarzeniami piosenka ma podobna wymowę. W obliczu potworności wojny, chcemy być z Ukraińcami i jasno stać po Ich stronie, dodawać Im otuchy i nadziei. Jeżeli ta piosenka, stworzona spontanicznie przez polski team, choć odrobinę umocni legendarnego ducha wolności naszych Braci z Ukrainy, spełni swoje zadanie.

Jeżeli poruszy również ludzi innych narodowości, być może skłoni ich do kontynuacji wsparcia Ukrainy na każdym możliwym froncie. Nie pozwólmy, aby wojna stała się codziennością. I nie zostawmy Ukrainy.

O piosence i autorce
Joanna Simon jest polską artystką mieszkającą na Malcie, tworzącą gry komputerowe. Pracuje w teamie z Ukraińcami, z których ogromna część mieszka w Ukrainie, a część na Malcie. Śledzenie wydarzeń wojny, słuchanie tragicznych opowieści, stres, chaos, niepewność, bezradność - to uczucia towarzyszące na co dzień wszystkim związanym z Ukrainą lub Ukraińcami. Jednocześnie życie z dala od wojny toczy się dalej i ma się wrażenie, że obie te przeciwstawne rzeczywistości są równie nierealne. Spokojna toń morza, śpiewające ptaki, słońce - a tam przemoc, terror, śmierć. Trudno jest pogodzić te światy i trudno jest żyć tak, jak przed wojną.

Musimy jednak pamiętać, że wojna nie może nam spowszednieć. Żyjmy nadzieją, że znów będzie po prostu normalnie, jak dawniej. Że dzięki bohaterom, którzy narażają i oddają swoje życie, wygra wolność i dobro. Piosenka powstała, aby rozniecić promyk nadziei, zachęcić do dalszego wsparcia Ukrainy oraz aby przypomnieć, że nie wolno nam przyzwyczaić się do wojny. Joanna napisała i zaśpiewała tekst w języku ukraińskim jako przesłanie, że ta kultura, ten język, są cenne i piękne. Nie będą zapomniane.

The story of the attack on Snake Island has become a symbol of the invincible spirit of the Ukrainians, and the song inspired by these events, has a similar meaning. In the face of the horrors of the war, we want to be with the Ukrainians and clearly stand by their side, give them encouragement and hope. If this song, created spontaneously by the Polish team, could strengthen the legendary spirit of freedom of our brothers from Ukraine, it will fulfill its purpose.
If it also moves people of other nationalities, perhaps it will persuade them to continue supporting Ukraine on every possible front. Let us not allow war to become an every day reality. And let's not leave Ukraine alone.

About the song and the composer:
Joanna Simon is a Polish artist living in Malta, working in the video games industry, with a Ukrainian team. Following the events of the war, listening to the tragic stories, stress, chaos, uncertainty, helplessness - these are the feelings that accompany everyone associated with Ukraine or Ukrainians on a daily basis.

At the same time, life away from the war goes on and one has the impression that both of these opposing realities are equally unreal. Here the calm depth of the sea, singing birds, the sun - and there- violence, terror, death. It is difficult to reconcile these worlds and it is difficult to live as if the war has never happened. Let us hope that it will be normal and peaceful again, as it used to be. That thanks to heroes who risk and sacrifice their lives, freedom and good will win.

The song was created to strengthen the hope, to encourage further support for Ukraine and to remind us that we must not get used to the war.
Joanna, as a Polish national, wrote the lyrics and sang in Ukrainian, as a message that this culture and language are precious and beautiful. This culture will not be forgotten.
