LUCET Braids for Beginners - Braiding with cords and yarn using a Viking knitting fork

Hi I'm Donna Wolfe from Naztazia. In this video, I'll show you how to make braids using a lucet. It's a beginner video aimed at showing how to create braiding with cords and yarn. A lucet is a Viking knitting tool that allows you to create all sorts of neat cording.

Because I crochet and knit, the cord I'll demonstrate with the lucet is very similar to an icord. You'll also find this type of braid in spool knitting.

You can use a lucet cord as a belt and bag handle strap. A lot of people make cords for jewelry - including as a nice necklace and bracelet. If you've seen my other videos, you know I'm into flowers. You'll see how I make a 3D flower with my lucet cording.
