Buying some other type of vacuum bags off of ebay that have a perforated strip that can be cut out, I have discovered the perfect way to vacuum seal a mylar bag using a Foodsaver. Works great, I've used it at least a dozen times so far sealing up rice and macaroni. I highly recommend this method, just wish I could buy the perforated strips directly rather than having to hack them out of these bags. PM me if you want to know who the seller is.
