How do you create your heaven? How do you create your hell?
Many times it was difficult to see if my thought reflected the reality of a situation or it was just something I imagined. I totally believed what my thoughts were telling me. Many times I got lost in an emotion and I was succumbing to its force spiraling down in anger, sadness, resentment, complaint or spiraling up in happiness and joy because the vision was clogged by stories from the past and projections about the future. My actions were based on automatic habits of thinking, feeling and behaving, on fearing consequences, on comparing, competing and clinging to good moments or avoiding the bad ones.

Many times I didn't stop to look and find out if how I saw a situation was real, why I behaved the way I did, if the thoughts I had were true or false. I followed my limiting believes and let myself be overwhelmed by my dramas and poor me stories, blaming others for my pain, fear, guilt, anger, shame in an attempt to avoid facing them and feeling them. There was no response to life. There was only a reaction based on my emotions, out of inertia and fear not out of awareness and seeing the reality. And that was hurtful. I was in an endless race to achieve happiness and peace. Sure, there were short moments but they were drifting away and I continued to chase Fata Morgana.

And then I found out the truth….
