Paint With Me || Countryside Collection (And Why I'm No Longer Painting These)

This is the creation process of my final wooden block painting collection. In this video I'll also be explaining how I started doing these blocks, my experience with them over the last five years, and why I'm retiring the wooden block series.

I felt it was important to share my experience as an artist who's put a lot of time, effort, and my own money into creating, selling, and promoting this project just to have it not be very successful during its five year run. Sometimes that happens, and that's okay! I'll take the lessons I learned, as an artist and a person, with me into my future projects.

I was very honest about the trials and and issues I had while selling these and getting them out there, and although it may sound like a lot of complaining (and to many artists, very familiar), I think it's important for anyone who's just starting out who may be watching my content to know that it's normal for artists to go through these things. I hope it will give relief or comfort to someone who's worried their work isn't selling or who feels down about the way others have spoke of their work.
