Boses ng Katutubo: Panay-Bukidnon

The National Irrigation Administration (NIA) has plans and programs for affected communities, particularly the Indigenous Cultural Community/Indigenous Peoples (ICC/IPs) in the construction and development of the Agency’s irrigation projects.

Witness how the Agency assists and supports the Panay-Bukidnon Indigenous Peoples (IPs), one of the affected communities of the Jalaur River Multi-Purpose Project Stage II (JRMP II) in the Province of Iloilo, with its interventions such as IP Housing and livelihood.

As of December 2022, the JRMP II has an overall accomplishment of 64%. The project remains a much-needed and timely development effort that will support agricultural growth not only in the Province and City of Iloilo but the entire Western Visayas region.
