Now available in the Winter Auction 2025: a rare and highly promising restoration project — the 1944 Cromwell Mk IV Type E. This iconic British cruiser tank, built in the final stages of World War II, is offered here as a rolling hull with installed transmission and an unconnected diesel engine already fitted. The Cromwell was one of the fastest and most versatile British tanks of the war, serving across Europe from Normandy to Germany.

This example provides the ideal foundation for a historically accurate restoration. The new owner can choose to complete it in its original Mk IV Type E tank configuration by sourcing the correct turret and upper components. Alternatively, it can be restored as a wartime Armoured Recovery Vehicle (ARV), a field conversion that was also deployed by British forces during the conflict.
