If you're one of the many people who own an HP Tango Printer, you know that it's a great device. But what you may not know is how to properly unpack and set it up from Android. Don't worry, we're here to help. Just follow these simple steps and you'll be up and printing in no time.

Step 1:Unbox the printer
Remove the printer from the box, and then set up the output tray or wrap.
1. Remove the printer and power cord from the box.
2. Remove and recycle all packing material.
3. Set the printer on the output tray or wrap, aligning the four corners with the indentations.
Step 2: Connect the printer to a power source
Connect the power cord to the rear of the printer, plug the other end of the power cord into an electrical outlet, and then turn on the printer.
Step 3: Load paper and install ink cartridges
Load plain U.S. letter of A4 paper in the input tray, and then install the ink cartridges that came with your printer.
1. Slide the paper-width guides to the edges of the input tray.
2. Insert a stack of plain white paper into the input tray.
3. Slide the paper-width guides in until they touch the edges of the paper.
4. Gently press down on the ink door button to release the ink cartridge access door, and then lift the door until it stays in place.


5. Wait until the carriage is idle and silent before you continue.
6. Remove an ink cartridge from its package. Be careful to touch only the black plastic on the ink cartridge.


7. Remove the plastic tape from the ink cartridge, and then discard or recycle the package and tape.
CAUTION: Do not touch the copper-colored contacts or the ink nozzles. Handling these parts can result in clogs, ink failure, and bad electrical connections.
8. With the nozzles toward the printer, insert the ink cartridge into its slot, and then squeeze the ink cartridge until it snaps into place.
NOTE: Install the color ink cartridge on the left and the black ink cartridge on the right.
9. Repeat these steps for the other ink cartridge.
10. Lower the ink cartridge access door, and then press gently to lock it into place.
After you install the ink cartridges, the printer prints an alignment page.
11. Wait for the alignment page to fully eject from the printer.
Step 4: Connect the printer to a network
Use the HP Smart app to connect the printer to a wireless network. HP Smart is a free app that helps you quickly and easily connect your printer to the network and manage printer settings. It is available for Android, Apple iOS, Windows 10, and macOS. If you are using a computer with Windows 8.1 (and earlier), use the WPS method to connect the printer to your network.
NOTE: You can print a Wireless Quick Start Guide to help you set up your printer. Touch and hold the Information button on the control panel for at least 3 seconds. When the other control panel buttons light up, touch the Information button again to print a Wireless Quick Start Guide, and then follow the steps on the printed page.
Android mobile devices (HP Smart)
Install HP Smart on your Android OS 5.0 (Lollipop) or later device. After installation, open the app, and then add your printer.
1. Make sure your Android device is connected to the same wireless network that you want to connect the printer to.
2. Make sure Bluetooth is enabled on your device.
3. Download and install HP Smart from 123.hp.com.
4. After installation, open the app, accept the terms and conditions, and then tap Start.
5. Tap the Plus sign on the app home screen.
6. Tap Set Up a New Printer, and then follow the on-screen instructions to connect the printer to the network.
NOTE: If you have an Android OS 7 (Nougat) and later device and are unable to complete the printer setup, turn off cellular data temporarily, and then try again.
