The Bishop's Opening is a chess opening in which White opens with e4 and then develops their bishop to c3. It is not one of the most popular openings, but it has gained some popularity, especially with players who want to avoid the Petroff. It should not be taken for granted, while it lacks the advantage of attacking Black’s e-pawn, it hits right at Black’s weak f7 square.
In this video GM Simon Williams will show you how The Bishop's Opening is usually played, how to respond to it, and give you some tips for how best to use your pieces!
