Franz Wilhelm Ferling — Étude No. 3 for basset horn

Описание к видео Franz Wilhelm Ferling — Étude No. 3 for basset horn

The 48 Ferling études were originally written for oboe. Mark Wolbers adapted and released them in 2020 for basset horn (or any clarinet to low C).

The études have been arranged to account for the instrument's large range of over three octaves and are published by Gérard Billaudot.

My instrument is a Leblanc large bore basset horn with extensive upgrades to the keywork by Jochen Seggelke (Seggelke Klarinetten, Bamberg) and Martin Suter (Das Blashaus, Lucerne).

The gold adjustable neck was created on my request at Das Blashaus.

I play Vandoren reeds (V21), mouthpieces (BD5) and Rovner (Dark) ligatures.
