YI Lite Action Camera Review

The YI Lite Action Cam is a cheap and cheerful entry-level action camera powered by a Sony IMX206 sensor that offers poor 4k performance at 20fps but suitable 1080 resolution at 60fps.

The integrated 2” touch screen offers decent control of the device with 9 shooting modes including time-lapse. You can use the YI app to download videos directly to your phone for sharing.

At only $60 it’s easy to grab this and head out with some friends and have a bit of fun. Audio is adequate and image quality is good for the price. While not a load better than your phone you’ll gain a wider perspective at 150° and be able to take the camera underwater with the optional waterproof case.
