Falconry: What to feed your bird

In falconry, wildlife education, wildlife rehab, and zoological institutes, people caring for raptors must know the right kind of foods to feed their birds. This is not as simple as it might at first seem. Many factors are involved including loosing fat and gaining muscle to be able to hunt. having extra nutrients during the molt to be able to grow new feathers, keeping birds heavy enough to be healthy, but not so healthy that they develop pressure sores from perching.
