Once in a while a product comes along that is a game changer! Introducing the Beal Escaper.
The Beal Escaper allows you to rap the full length of your rope and then retrieve it. E.g. Rappel multiple 60m rappels with one 60m rope. You have been taught that this is impossible... until now!

Can you imagine committing to a route, with only one rope? Knowing that if things go wrong, rappelling off isn't an option. Until now, the solution to this problem is to bring a second rope or tag/pull line. This 2nd rope greatly increases your weight and slows you down. The Beal Escaper is a revolutionary tool that weighs 123g, which weighs less than a 2nd rope and gives you more escape options.

It works in a similar method to a finger trap; the harder you pull, the tighter it grips. Only upon relaxing, and allowing the trap to withdraw, will it slip.

Sounds terrifying? We thought the same, but during our test, we started to trust it. The Escaper meets EN 795 specifications for technical requirements that apply to personal fall protection equipment and anchor devices.
