It feels random. Like you never know which version of your dog you're going to get.

But it's not random.

Your dog has a stress bucket. And some days it's fuller than others.

They slept poorly. They missed breakfast. They had a stressful morning. They're overstimulated from yesterday.

All of that affects how much they can handle. When their bucket is full, they react to things they'd normally handle fine.

I see this with Atlas. On days when he's well-rested and calm, he barely reacts. On days when he's overstimulated, he barks at everything.

Once I learned how to manage his stress bucket, his "bad days" got way less frequent.
