Courtyard Update: Camellia’s in the Ground!

Описание к видео Courtyard Update: Camellia’s in the Ground!

Today at Carolina Terrain, we are thrilled to be working on a courtyard installation for one of our clients! Today we installed mine-no-yuki camellias, a camellia japonica espalier, two shishi gashira camellias, ferns, and two Carolina silver bell trees. This combination of plants is sure to provide an amazing look and feel to the space.

Mine-no-yuki is a variety of Camellia japonica with white flowers and deep red stamens. The flowers have a beautiful frilly look that will create extra visual interest in the courtyard. The camellia japonica espalier will provide year round beauty with its evergreen foliage and vibrant blooms in the springtime.

The two shishi gashira camellias are both semi double varieties of Camellia sasanqua that offer a unique reddish hue when flowering. They also have glossy evergreen foliage that will add texture and color to the courtyard setting all year long. The ferns we chose are an ideal accent choice as they are low maintenance but bring lots of textural contrast to the environment.

Finally, we planted two Carolina silver bell trees (Halesia carolina) which is known for its beautiful white bell shaped blooms in the springtime that are set against lush green foliage during summer months. These trees will add true elegance to this outdoor setting!

We’re excited about how this courtyard installation turned out today at Carolina Terrain and can’t wait to see how it looks once everything is fully bloomed!
