Curiosity drives the songwriting and recording process of the alternative folk project Hiding Places. Spearheaded by Audrey Keelin-Walsh’s intimate guitarwork and Nicholas Byrne’s Elephant 6 inspired approach to production, collaboration is at the heart of Hiding Places’ music. The band took shape after meeting through UNC Chapel Hill’s radio station in 2019, and recorded remotely throughout the pandemic across London, Brooklyn, Athens, GA, and Chapel Hill. Their upcoming EP, produced by Colin Miller (Wednesday, MJ Lenderman) is set to release in March of 2024.
