1. I first start off by unpacking the instrument
2. I then demonstrated the repeatability on zero
3. At this point we measured our first 12.5mm gauge block
4. We then switched the reading from metric to imperial measuring a 1" gauge block
5. I then switch it back to metric and zero it at the 12.5mm, going back to zero position and check the reading.

The Mitutoyo micrometers come with a battery fully charged so when you first open the box it will turn straight on. It is also auto off so there is not an off switch, it will automatically turn its self off after 20 minutes of inactivity.
