Musarat Jahan Munia's family lives in Comilla. However, he lived alone in an elite flat in Dhaka. Police recovered his body on Monday (April 26th) evening.

Munia used to study in class XII at Mirpur Cantt Public School and College.

On Sunday night, Mosarat told his older sister on the phone that he was in trouble. After hearing the matter, his elder sister came to Dhaka from Comilla on Monday evening. He went to the flat and got the door locked from inside. He opened the lock and entered the room and saw his sister hanging with a fan. Later the police was informed.

Sudip Kumar Chakraborty, deputy commissioner of the Gulshan division of the police, said Mosarat Jahan rented a house (Flat-B-3) on Gulshan Road No. 2. He lived alone in the flat.

Sudip Kumar Chakraborty further said that the contract obtained from the landlord shows that Munia rented the flat on March 1. According to the agreement, the young woman used to live alone in the house with an advance of two lakh rupees and a monthly rent of one lakh rupees.




Bashundhara Group Managing Director (MD) Sayem Sobhan Anvir has been charged in connection with the recovery of Munia's body.

Nusrat Jahan, the sister of the college student, filed the case on Monday (April 26) night. It has been accused of inciting suicide.

The plaintiff said in the statement of case that Mosarat Jahan Munira, a student of Mirpur Cantt Public School and College. Munira and Sayem Sobhan Tanvir (42) met two years ago. From then on, they used to meet in different restaurants. They could be seen talking on mobile phones almost all the time. At one stage a love affair developed between them.
