Glacier National Park: Iceberg Lake

Описание к видео Glacier National Park: Iceberg Lake

July 20, 2024 We traveled to the Many Glacier district of Glacier National Park to do the iconic Iceberg Lake trail. It is a 10.4 mile out and back trail with a most spectacular vie of a lake as the payoff at the end. This hike can be couple with Ptarmigan Tunnel hike as they both share a lead trail and split off justt after the Ptarmigan falls area. If you combine both of these hikes it is going to be in excess of a 16 mile effort with significant elevation change. If you do just the Iceberg Lake trail, we think it's actually a pretty cruisy and on the easier side of moderate hike. There is some elevation at the beginning but pretty gentle and flat afterwards. This hike is known for bear and moose activity, although we did not see any on this day. I make a comparison to Grinnell Glacier trail towards the end of the hike. Below is a link to that trail review in order for you to make your own judgement call on which you should do if you find yourself with just one day in this area.
