Took a while to work out how to climb the mast safely and find ladders long enough for the job. Starting with no knowledge of rigging and furling systems it initially seemed like an insurmountable obstacle to get this fixed. Medway Slings in Strood were very helpful in measuring out the old forestay wire and swaging on the end termination, they were good enough to show me how to fit the compression fitting. Sparksmg1 on eBay supplied the Facnor Furling system. I've left the video long to give a more 'in the real world' feel for what it takes to do this job.
