There's so much I love about autumn. The soft orange light, the long shadows, the incredible textures as the leaves dance down through the sky. Today I am sharing my recent adventures of reference photo hunting in a gorgeous area near Logie Steading, in Forres, Scotland (definitely worth visiting if you can). The trails are lined with huge mossy trees and when the sun shines the colors are incredible. Afterwards, we'll head to the studio for some casual watercolor sketching and talk about how I use references. Spoiler: it's not what you think!
