In this video, I show you how to install hardie board in a shower wall above a cast iron tub. I show easy and affordable ways on how to cut hardie board, including cutting cement board with a circular saw, as well as with a jig saw. I also show how to mix mortar using buckets and how I applied the mortar to the seams and corners of the cement board, in order to seal and water proof. It's not mentioned in the video, unfortunately, but always be sure to clean tools and buckets of the mortar before it dries. To finish the video off, I show how to apply Redguard Waterproofing Membrane to help ensure the walls are completely waterproofed before tiling.

Throughout the video, I wear protective glasses and masks when cutting the boards and applying the waterproofing membrane and would highly recommend doing the same if you plan on working with these materials!
