Close Encounters Pinball, in-depth review & gameplay

Here's an in-depth review of the very cool Gottlieb Close Encounters of Third Kind pinball machine. This is a very fast playing four-player game, released in October of 1978. This is one of the last electro-mechanical designs from the manufacturer, which utilizes many complex features in its design, including a factory installed solid-state System-1 sound board. It's a fun game, and one of only very few EM's to feature a mirrored backglass. The glass artwork from Gordon Morrison is very different than that of the solid-state version. It has lots of detail and features Devils Tower, which is not seen on the solid-state version.
