Welcome to Woggle Guides.
In this guide, we’ll look at how to change the grouped email view in the Gmail inbox and show you how to display all your emails individually.
Let’s get straight into it.

Gmail will automatically group together any conversations that have the same subject.
If an email contains grouped conversations, when you look in your inbox, you’ll see a count
next to the names of the email sender and recipient
that indicates the total number of emails that have been shared.
And if I click into one of those emails, you’ll see the email exchange.
When you first install Gmail this feature is turned on by default and might seem a bit weird particularly if you are used to working in Outlook which tends to show emails separately.
Don’t worry however, it's quick and easy to turn this feature off in Gmail

To turn off threaded emails we first need to go into settings in Gmail
To do that, let's click on the big Cog icon in the top right of the inbox.
This open a new panel, and in that, let's click on ‘See all settings’ which opens up the detailed settings section.
When emails are grouped together, Gmail calls this a conversation view
And if we stay in the General settings tab and scroll down
You’ll see there is a conversation view section
At the moment, Conversation view is turned on
To turn it off just click on the ’Conversation view off’ option
Don’t forget that in the desktop version of Gmail, you must scroll to the bottom of this settings page and click on the “Save Changes’ button in order to apply the change you’ve just made
Once you do that, Gmail will refresh and the inbox will be reloaded
And now you can see that the emails from our original group are each shown separately, and any new emails that you receive will also be shown individually.
