Wrong Patch Challenge with Moog Matriarch, Moog One and Alesis QS8.1 all doing something unexpected.

If this jam seems a little strange right out of the box, it is. And on purpose.

Here's the HWJ Weekend Challenge: "That’s the Wrong Patch! Oh no, you seem to have picked the wrong sounds for your jam. These are not the patches you were looking for! But maybe you can make it work? Play a jam with some ridiculously out of place sounds: plucks where pads should be, melodies played with drum sounds, a hihat made from a bass patch, chords made with a subbass, a 303 line made from duck samples… Look for strange and unusual choices in sound design and in choosing samples and sounds. Make these work in your jam."

So, here's what we did.
1. Start with a nice drum pattern designed for the Cherry Audio CR78. You'll hear it play the first four measures. Then it's ported to the Moog Matriarch which will take that pattern for the remainder of the song which in effect converts it to a rhythm patch.
2. We took a patch for the Moog One designed for ripping leads and created a slow arpeggio to calm it down so it more resembles a drone.
3. Finally, the Alesis QS8.1 was set up with a patch that changed the entire 88 key keyboard so it only produced percussion sounds; drums, whistles, cymbals, and everything in between. That's where we played our traditional lead riffs.

The result is a hot mess that seems somehow hypnotic. Enjoy!

Effects used:
On the Matriarch: Mr. Wiggly's Incinerator and Valhalla Supermassive
On the Moog One: Moog MF103S Phaser and Valhalla Vintage Verb
On the Alesis QS8.1: Valhalla Freq Echo
