This handsome 1927 Packard 443 Club Coupe is a true survivor and believed to be 1 of 2 known. This video examines the engine and takes it for a test drive!!! This is the second of the two videos of this fabulous and important motorcar.

This is a low mileage veteran tour car that has been shown and toured in for most of the past 50 years. It has been in the hands of discerning collectors- long before most cars were cared for in this manner. But the elegance and prominence that this Club Coupe commands was notable, even in the early 1960s.

Packard 443s, available in 1927 and 1928, are highly cherished examples of early Packards of the classic era. They are significantly lighter and have ample power. In addition, at 143 inches, the wheelbase is long and elegant.

One of only two known to exist, this motorcar was owned by the noted collector Lyle Shelley of Rockford, Illinois from about 1963 until 2005. It was repainted in about 1998 by its owner of 42 years. The engine compartment has also been detailed for tour or show. The interior is all original except the drivers seat.

The coachwork was kept its original understated two-tone green with more of an elegant sage color- this is not a bright green in any respect. The interior is the original sage green wool ribbed (embedded stripe) broadcloth. The original window shades and other luxurious features are all preserved making this an exciting and important car to see. The six wire wheels are very rare on 443s and add to its terrific sportiness and lightness. This motorcar also has benefitted from new blackwall proper tires and has been fully serviced by experienced technicians.
