KC-46 Elephant Walk - McConnell AFB

Описание к видео KC-46 Elephant Walk - McConnell AFB

KC-135 and KC-46 tankers taxi nose-to-tail in an elephant walk 1 July 2020 at McConnell Air Force Base, Kansas as part of a weather evacuation exercise. Generating aircraft quickly in response to adverse weather conditions ensures the protection of Air Force assets while also preserving McConnell’s air refueling mission. An interesting side note -- the bright orange tubes visible in the distance in some shots of this video are many protected 737 fuselages built in Wichita by Spirit Aerosystems and awaiting delivery whenever Boeing resumes construction of the 737 Max.
