ZBrush Jewelry Basics: Basket Setting Tutorial in ZBrush

Описание к видео ZBrush Jewelry Basics: Basket Setting Tutorial in ZBrush

This tutorial shows how to use ZBrush and the ZModeler tool to create a basket setting for a stone. This technique will work with the new ZBrush 4R8 and earlier versions, but does not apply for ZBrush Core (this version does not have a ZModeler tool).

It covers techniques for measuring the thickness of the prongs, making them thicker, and tapering the basket.

I would recommend that you download my ZBrush interface if you are a jewelry artist. It pulls some of the most commonly used features and places them at the bottom of the window where they are easier to access. Follow this link, and there is a configuration document in the folder, along with ZBrush materials, brushes, and a hotkey file. https://drive.google.com/open?id=1b8P...

UPDATE July 16, 2019:
• I've added a "stones" file to the folder, and I'm creating a small tutorial on how to add these to your piece.
• Here is the link to the Pixologic Downloads page where you can find the "RingMaster" plugin. You'll expand the file, then drag the contents to the ZBrush folder, in the ZStartup folder, then into the ZPlugs64 folder. I ONLY use RingMaster for adding stones. If you start out with their ring mandrel, it does some strange things to the scale of your model and makes it so the XYZ Size function and Transpose Line tool don't reflect the same size when measuring. I'll address this more in another video.
