Been curious about seeing where Manheim (the auction division of Cox Automotive) was located in Portland since I’ve been visiting family up there for years and was debating moving there. Seemed like a good place to work.

If you watch my videos you’ll see I have an odd fascination with transit. So here’s how:

From Foster-Powell:

Trimet 9 (Portland)
Orange Line
Yellow Line
C-Tran Route 60 to Jantzen Beach
Walked almost 1 mile through the shopping center to Hayden Island Road, then Manheim is almost all the way at the end.

Then of course I walked back to the shopping center to take the bus “home” but not before stopping at Jimmy John’s for lunch since I hadn’t eaten all day! Of course doing that caused me to miss the bus, but frequency up here is better than San Diego so I didn’t have to wait long for another one. Pretty easy using Google Maps, the TriMet application, and of course the Hop card for paying fares. Bonus, all the traveling that day earned me a free day pass, so the rest of the day was free. Fun little weekend journey.
