To reach Mon village in Nagaland, we started our journey from Dibrugarh, in fact started from Delhi went to Dibrugarh and from there Mon village in Naglanad is a three and a half hour drive.

Delhi Airport - We took an early morning flight to Dibrugarh, Assam.

Lunch in Dibrugarh - We had our lunch in Dibrugarh at “Bornali’s Ethnic Restaurant” in East Milan Nagar. We had Veg Thali & Fish Tenga in the lunch.

Overall we enjoyed the Assamese style food in the lunch.

Lunch Cost - Veg Thali - Rs 150
Tenga Fish - Rs 300

Mon District - We travelled around 115 km from Dibrugarh & reached the Mon District, Nagaland.

To visit Mon Village you need an “Inner line permit” which you can take online & offline. We took the “ILP” offline before entering the Mon district.

ILP Charges - Rs 100 Per Person for 2 days.

Nagaland is also famous for tourists for the - Aoling Festival & Hornbill Festival.

Homestay in Mon Village - We booked our accommodation at the “Aihan Homestay” in Mon Village.
