Beta oxidation of fatty acids

Beta oxidation is second important essay question.
palmitic acid-16C long chain fatty acid after a sequential removal of 2 carbon produces Acyl co A and acetyl coA.
Acyl coA for next reaction whereas acetyl co A enters into TCA cycle and produces ATPs.
This oxidation occurs in both cytosol and mitochondria in all cells.
