Subaru Legacy GT Cobb Short Shifter Install

Been putting this one off for a while for some reason but installing this short shifter is a pretty simple job as long as you have the right tools. Make sure to pick up a set of snap ring pliers for $10 before you start and you'll have crisper shifts in no time. I found the Cobb short shifter not only shortened the throw significantly, but also eliminated all the slop that was in the shifter. I don't even need to install shift bushings after this. Stick around after the install to see my (finally) paint-matched console. Now I need to replace that shift knob with something nicer.

Note: the O-ring that pops off at 4:30 should sit on the bottom of the white cup to help hold it on the ball end.
